Pakistan slashes fuel prices



ISLAMABAD – The federal government on Monday reduced the petroleum prices by Rs4.86 per litre, according to a notification announced by Ministry of Finance.

The notification confirmed a decrease of Rs4.26 per litre of diesel price. Similarly, the price of kerosene oil has been cut by Rs0.52 per litre, whereas the light diesel oil price has been slashed by Rs2.16 per litre.

The new prices – Petrol, Rs90.97; Diesel, Rs106.68; Light Diesel, Rs75.28; Kerosene oil, Rs82.98 – will take effect from 12am on Tuesday.
